Welcome to my homepage. My name is Philip Seaton and I am an associate professor in the Research Faculty of Media and Communication, Hokkaido University, Japan. I hope you enjoy browsing this site, which mainly introduces my research and teaching activities in Hokkaido.
Click the "About Me" button for my academic CV. Other parts of the drop down menu cover less professional aspects, such as my hobbies of music and photography.
The "Research" button tells you about my main research interests. The drop down menu introduces the books I have published and my current research projects, and it contains a fully up-to-date list of my academic and media publications.
The "Teaching" button gives my teaching timetable at Hokkaido University. The Undergraduate and Postgraduate sections of the drop down menu are mainly for my students and contain their class materials. The Open Courseware section gives links to all the materials I have put on Hokkaido University OCW. There is also information for Prospective Students who want to study under me here at Hokkaido University.
The "Academic Organizations" button introduces my activites with the major organizations I belong to, particularly BAJS and Japan Focus.
"News" is a blog that alerts people to recent additions to the site or other activities I have been getting up to. The most recent items appear at the left of the screen, but you can visit the archive if you want.
"Contact Me" gives my postal address at the university. My email address is on every page.
Enjoy browsing through the site!
