The Asia-Pacific Journal: Japan Focus is a peer-reviewed online journal focusing on the politics, modern history and society of the Asia-Pacific Region and Japan. I became an associate of the journal in the summer of 2007. I was attracted by it's strong philosophy of making up-to-the-minute articles by leading researchers available completely open access on the internet. Below is a list of my own contributions to Japan Focus, as author, translator and editor.
Testimony and War Memories in Japan (2010)
The Bases Issue Seen From Beyond Okinawa (2010)
Alternative Summits, Alternative Perspectives: Beyond the 2008 G8 Summit (2008)
'Vietnam and Iraq in Japan: Japanese and American Grassroots Peace Activism' (2008).
'Family, Friends and Furusato: "Home" in the formation of Japanese war memories' (2007).
Kawazoe Makoto and Yuasa Makoto (2008) 'Action Against Poverty: Japan's Working Poor Under Attack'.
