Photography

Photography has long been an interest and the entire website is a reflection of that. Most of the photographs in the slideshows on each page have been taken by me in Hokkaido over the past few years. Most pages have themed slideshows to reflect the content of the page, but the photography page simply has a slideshow containing favourite recent shots. Below are the details of all the photos up on the website. They are in the order that they appear in the slideshows.

Photography Page:

Snowy Sapporo. The view toward Mt Teine over Hokudai campus from the centre of the city, December 2011.

Autumn leaves in Nakajima Park, Central Sapporo, October 2011.

A shot of the moon through bare branches (on Hokkaido University Campus). It looks like dusk but was actually taken on a glorious sunny morning, October 2011.

One of the many spectacular late summer sunsets we had this year over Mt Teine, Sapporo, September 2011.

Rishiri Island taken from Wakkanai Park, at the northernmost tip of Hokkaido, September 2011.

The resort of Tomamu in central Hokkaido. We did not see the famous "sea of clouds" in the valley, but the view we did see was not bad, September 2011.

Lake Shikotsuko, August 2011.

Various shots of flowers and insects. I like the imagery of busily getting on with things and "blooming/blossoming" ...
