Welcome to my website. My name is Philip Seaton. Originally from London, I am a professor in the Research Faculty of Media and Communication, Hokkaido University, Japan. I have been at Hokkaido University since 2004.
At the undergraduate level, I am the convenor of the Modern Japanese Studies Program, a bilingual bachelor’s degree taught in English/Japanese which began in October 2014 (Intensive Japanese Course) and April 2015 (Bachelor’s Degree).
I also teach and supervise postgraduate students in the Graduate School of Education (International Multicultural Education Course).
The site introduces my academic work at Hokkaido University and includes an up-to-date publications list. I hope you enjoy browsing through the site.
